If you'd like to avoid frustration with JIRA please note:

  1. Templates in JIRA are executed at page creation time - if you change your template the page will stay as it is - this is much different then Template in MediaWiki or Semantic MediaWiki work - but it is in sync with how Microsoft also badly implemented templates in their office products.

So if you create a few hundred pages based on a template and you change the template be prepared to also have to change your few hundred pages!

  1. If you change a page name the references to it will show the old page name - so be prepared to visit all your references and change them
